In July 2018, The Screaming Jets released their 8th studio album “Gotcha Covered”. An homage to the last 50 years of Australian rock and its musical origins. The Jets handpicked a bunch of their favourite songs, with the help of Triple M radio public, went into the studio and recorded 15 tracks that have achieved ‘hit’ status with the Australian public, both live and on radio…


Featuring a ‘Who’s Who’ of the Australian pub rock scene over the last 5 decades “Gotcha Covered” features iconic songs such as Goanna’s “Razor’s Edge”, The Easybeats “Wedding Ring”, Men At Work’s “Overkill, Dragon’s “Rain”. Every track on “Gotcha Covered…” offers up a rebirthed Australian classic stamped with the unique sound that is synonymous with The Screaming Jets.


Recently previewed in it’s entirety over 3 sold out shows at Sydney’s iconic rock venue, The Bridge Hotel in Rozelle, “Gotcha Covered” made it’s debut on the National ARIA charts in the national Top 20. Peaking at #1 on the iTunes Rock charts, and #1 on the AIR charts. First single “Wedding Ring” received high status on all Triple M playlists as well as other rock stations around the country.


Die-hard Jets devotees have not only embraced the album, “Gotcha Covered” has re-established the bands mainstream appeal by drawing in a whole new audience of music lovers. The up coming “Gotcha Covered  - The Tour” over the summer of 2018/2019 will give the band the opportunity to take the album into the live arena, where arguably, The Screaming Jets do their best work.


Known as “The best live band I have ever witnessed..” (Neil Jeffreys Kerrang magazine), The Screaming Jets blistering set will feature a treasure trove of Jets classics including “Better”, “Helping Hand”, “October Grey”, “Shine On”, “C’Mon (just to name a few) combined with a rotating selection of gems from the “Gotcha Covered” album.   


Songs from ‘Tear of Thought’ and ‘All For One” and the Jets recent Hot Metal – Album Of the Year offering ‘Chrome’, fit brilliantly alongside Hoodoo Gurus “Right Time”, The Angels “Shadowboxer” and Radio Birdman’s “Aloha Steve & Dano”.  The Radiators “Gimme Head” was always destined to be a crowd pleaser and doesn’t disappoint. Never one to be held back by public opinion, The Jets have pulled out some of the their more controversial tunes in the recent live sets…. to rapturous response from the audience. BE WARNED!!!!


The boys have been known to invite up their musical cohorts for the Guitar-A-thon during their live shows. Industry luminaries such as Nat Alison (Suzi Quatro band), and Spicks & Specks Barry Morgan (Barry Morgan’s World of Organs) have graced the stage recently for Stevie Wrights ‘GuitarBand’, Paul Kellys ‘Darling It Hurts’ and other Jets crowd staples to end the show in a rock n roll celebration of our collective musical heritage!
